About This Project
Project-Based Learning: Assessing with Evidence

In a world of knowledge overload, you don’t need to know it all. You want responsive, accurate, and flexible strategies for accessing information. Whereas knowledge is primarily about the acquisition of information, know-how is the understanding and implementation of learning frameworks and strategies that foster discovery and research with a requisite end goal: open-ended, real-world problem solving. Simply put, know-how is intelligent action founded on knowledge, expertise, skills, and mastery. This session will provide tips for project-based learning at the pace of change within your university or workplace.

APPLICATION ON THE JOB

  • Explore project-based learning as a way to introduce and elevate problem-solving that evolves from simple to complex.
  • Discover how to frame questions through the practice of design thinking.
  • Define focused inquiry and related activities, including research, play, discovery, iteration, continuous feedback, and failure.
  • Target appropriate feedback based on the shared user or learner experience.
